SWIMMING
LAST WEEK: Idle | THIS WEEK: at PCSC Championships (Feb. 14-17)
The Alaska Nanooks swim team will return to action this week, as they are set to compete at the Pacific Collegiate Swimming and Diving Conference Championships this Wednesday, Feb. 14 through Saturday, Feb. 17 at the Splash Aquatic Center in La Mirada, California.

HOCKEY | 11-17-2 Overall, 9-14-1-1 WCHA
LAST WEEK: 0-2 | THIS WEEK: at Bemidji (Feb. 15-16)
After suffering a sweep at Northern Michigan last weekend, the Alaska Nanooks hockey team continues their two-week road trip with a pair of Western Collegiate Hockey Association tilts against the Bemidji State University Beavers this Thursday, Feb. 15 and Friday, Feb. 16. Both games will take place at the Sanford Center in Bemidji, Minnesota and are set to begin at 4:07pm AKST.
Both Thursday & Friday’s games will be shown live on KFXF Channel 7 in Fairbanks.

MEN’S BASKETBALL | 10-12 Overall, 8-8 GNAC
LAST WEEK: 1-1 | THIS WEEK: at Simon Fraser (Feb. 15), at Western Washington (Feb. 17)
After splitting against Central Washington (76-79) and Northwest Nazarene (67-53) at home last week, the Alaska Nanooks men’s basketball team will hit the road for a pair of Great Northwest Athletic Conference contests this week. Alaska will head to Burnaby, British Columbia on Thursday, Feb. 15 for a matchup against Simon Fraser at 4:15pm AKST before heading to Bellingham, Washington to take on the Western Washington Vikings on Saturday, Feb. 17 at 2pm AKST.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL | 4-18 Overall, 0-16 GNAC
LAST WEEK: 0-2 | THIS WEEK: vs. Saint Martin’s (Feb. 15), vs. Seattle Pacific (Feb. 17)
After a close loss on Saturday at Concordia, the Alaska Nanooks women’s basketball team continues to hunt for their first GNAC win of the season this week, as they host the Saint Martin’s Saints on Thursday, Feb. 15 before taking on the Seattle Pacific Falcons on Saturday, Feb. 17. Both conference games will take place at the Alaska Airlines Court with tip-off scheduled for 7pm AKST.
Ticketing Promotion: Military Family Appreciation Special – $10 admission for an entire military family with the presentation of a valid military ID at the door.

RIFLE
LAST WEEK: Idle | THIS WEEK: vs. University of Alabama at Birmingham (Feb. 17)
After a couple weeks of rest, the Alaska Nanooks men’s and women’s rifle team will host the University of Alabama at Birmingham Dragons in a NCAA Qualifying Match on Saturday, Feb. 17 at the E.F. Horton Rifle Range at the Patty Center.

Hanneman Set to Race in PyeongChang on Monday Night
Former Alaska Nanook skier Logan Hanneman (’15) will make his Olympic debut for Team USA on Monday night, competing in the men’s classic sprint at the Alpensia Cross-Country Centre in PyeongChang, South Korea. The qualifier is scheduled for 11:30pm AKST, while the heats and finals are scheduled for 2am AKST on Tuesday, Feb. 13. Follow the link to stream the event live >> http://bit.ly/2G5B0kr

On Saturday, the Alaska Nanooks announced that Nanook hockey’s junior defenseman Jack Weiss will miss the remainder of the 2017-18 season to undergo chemotherapy treatment for testicular cancer. The Alaska Nanooks will keep supporters informed with updates and information on how you can support Weiss throughout the upcoming months. Use the hashtag #StickIt2Cancer to support Jack and his fight.

All Alaska Nanooks volleyball, men’s and women’s basketball games (home and away) can be followed through the Alaska Nanooks Stretch Internet Portal free of charge. Fans can follow the games through the live stream, live stats or both.

All Alaska Nanook hockey games (home and away) can be heard live through ESPN 820AM Fairbanks or online at 820sports.com. Additionally, fans have the option to watch the games live for a small fee on WCHA.tv.
